Do you have to put up daily listings forever?

Daily listings for Etsy

Hey friend,

I see this question pop up often in our memberships: “When should I stop listing products daily in my store?” So today, let’s dig a bit deeper into this topic.

First things first—when you’re building your store and growing your inventory, it’s crucial to create and list products consistently, ideally every day.

Here’s why daily listings matter so much:

  • Daily listings = Daily boosts in search, which bring more traffic and potential buyers who are likely to browse other items in your store.

  • The more listings you have, the more traffic you attract, leading to more sales.

  • As you continue to list products, your product quality, listing images, and SEO should improve, drawing in even more traffic.

So, when can you ease up on daily listings? I recommend that you don’t stop until you’ve reached your income goal for that store. If you’ve surpassed your monthly sales target, then by all means, feel free to scale back.

Here’s what I suggest: To keep your store active, aim to list at least one trending product each week. This will ensure you continue attracting traffic and keep your content relevant.

But what if you want to shift focus to another store and step back from this one?

Absolutely, you can do that—I’ve done it myself multiple times. Just know that if you stop working on your store entirely, you can expect about a 20% drop in sales. So, make sure your sales are at least 20% above your goal before you let it run on autopilot as a passive income stream.

Remember to continue to look at your store monthly. Setting aside time each month to analyze your bestsellers, identify patterns, and brainstorm new ideas based on what’s resonating with your audience. You then can add more products in that realm when time permits. This kind of strategic planning is what can take your store from good to great!

Etsy is such a fantastic platform for digital products, offering a pathway to more freedom in your life—which is why I’m so passionate about it.

Big hugs
