When I first started selling on Etsy, it took me AGES to get my first sale.
Want to know why?
For six straight weeks, I made birthday invitations.
Twenty of them.
Generic.
Pretty.
Completely invisible.
I kept refreshing my dashboard thinking, why does nobody want my invitations?
Because they were buried under tens of thousands of other birthday invitations.
Nothing niched.
Nothing based on a trend.
Nothing Etsy could rank me for.
Then I figured out the thing that changed everything.
Stop fighting where everyone is.
Go where nobody is.
How I Found Low-Competition Etsy Product Ideas
Cupcake toppers.
Chocolate wrappers.
Water bottle labels.
Less glamorous? Sure.
But WAY less competition -which meant my products actually appeared in search, got views, got sales, and got my store moving.
Instead of creating what everyone else was selling, I started looking for low-competition Etsy product ideas that buyers were searching for but fewer sellers were offering.
And that's when things started changing.
The Biggest Lesson I Learned About Selling on Etsy
The lesson I now give every student.
Etsy doesn't reward the prettiest product.
It rewards the findable one.
You can create the most beautiful digital product in the world, but if nobody can find it, it's going to be difficult to make sales.
Find the little holes.
Fill them.
Then grow from there.
Big love,
Jessa ๐
